Matte box is a camera accessory that essentially does the same thing as a lens hood and also mounts in front of the lens, but usually includes adjustable fins called French flags. These can be moved and adjusted to reduce lens glare. A matte box is an important device for quality photography and film making.

The lens of the camera is not attached directly to the mattebox. It is attached with the mattebx with the help of soft foam donut ring so that the camera lens could be protected from the scratches.

Sunshade/filterholder features a non-reflective retangular shade that allows for single or dual filter applications. This Mattebox has two 4"x4" filter holders; perfect for polarizers and combination of square filters.

Rotating filter holder enables user to eject or instal square filter without disturbing microphone or flash settings.

FEATURES OF TRIPOD SPACER :

This support is handy while using mattebox and tripod simultaneously. If a mattebox is attached to the camera with 15mm supports, it might not be possible to attach it to the tripod. For this tripod spacer is used. This spacer raises the camera and makes it possible to attach it to the tripod i.e, You can attach or de-attach Tripod without disturbing your DV Camera and Mattebox Setting

Mattebox with rod support attaches to DV cameras in such a way that only a soft foam cushioned lens ring (DONUT) contacts your lens barrel, so you don't have to worry about your lens during the bumps and grinds of capturing exciting footage.
